Rush Lake is a beautiful lake found in the state of Wisconsin, USA. It is located in two different counties: Winnebago County and Fond du Lac County.
About Rush Lake: Size and Shape
Rush Lake has a unique shape, looking a bit like an upside-down triangle. It is widest at its northern end.
This lake is quite large, covering an area of about 2,729 acres (11.04 km2). To give you an idea, that's like more than 2,000 football fields!
Even though it's wide, Rush Lake is not very deep. Its deepest point is only about 5 feet (1.5 m). On average, the water is only about 1.5 feet (0.46 m) deep.
Where is Rush Lake Located?
Most of Rush Lake is in Winnebago County. It's about 18 miles (29 km) southwest of a city called Oshkosh.
Only a small part of the lake, its southernmost tip, reaches into Fond du Lac County. This area is close to a place called Wilmoore Heights.
