Ruth Bradley is an Irish actress from Dublin. She is famous for her roles as Emily Merchant in the TV show Primeval and as the android Karen Voss in Humans.
Over her career, Ruth has won several awards for her acting. In 2007, she won an IFTA Award for her part in the TV mini-series Stardust. She also won a Best Actress award at a film festival in Milan, Italy, for her role in the movie In Her Skin.

Early Life and Acting Start
Ruth Bradley was born in Dublin, Ireland. Her mother, Charlotte Bradley, is also a famous award-winning actress. When Ruth was a baby, her family moved to Newfoundland, Canada, and they lived there until she was five years old.
After returning to Ireland, she later signed up for a drama and languages course at Trinity College Dublin. However, she was so passionate about acting that she left after only three weeks. At age 18, she moved to London to become a full-time actress.
Career Highlights
Ruth's acting career began in 2002 with roles in the TV shows Ultimate Force and Sinners. She quickly became known for appearing in many popular Irish and British TV series. Some of her early recurring roles were in Legend (2006), The Innocence Project (2006–07), and the popular Irish drama Love/Hate.
In 2009, Ruth starred in the movie In Her Skin. It was based on the true story of a missing Australian teenager. Ruth played the girl's childhood friend who was responsible for her disappearance. Her performance was so powerful that she won the Best Actress award at the 2010 Milan International Film Festival.
A few years later, she starred in the Irish monster movie Grabbers (2012) as a police officer. The film was a fun mix of comedy and horror and was shown in cinemas around the world.

From 2011, many fans got to know Ruth as Emily Merchant in the science fiction show Primeval. Her character was a mysterious woman from the Victorian era who traveled through time.
From 2015 to 2018, she played another major science fiction role as Karen Voss in Humans. In the show, she played a conscious android, or "Synth," who was secretly living as a human.
More recently, she appeared in the dark comedy series Guilt and had a fun recurring role as a teacher in the hit show Ted Lasso. She also played the famous mystery writer Agatha Christie in the TV film Agatha and the Truth of Murder.
