Since October 2008, Rutherglen High School has been in a new building. It shares a campus with Cathkin High School. This campus is in the Whitlawburn area.
Where Was the School Before?
Before 2008, the school was in central Rutherglen. It used to be in a building that was once part of Stonelaw High School. This old building was about 1.5 miles north of the current site.
Why Did the School Move?
Moving to the new building was a big change. Some parents and school board members were worried. They thought the move might upset the students' daily routines. However, the new campus offered modern facilities.
