Ryan Daniel Buell (born July 8, 1982) is an American paranormal investigator, author, and producer. He was the main host of the TV show Paranormal State.
Ryan Buell's Early Life and School
Ryan Buell was born on July 8, 1982, in Corry, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Sumter, South Carolina. He went to Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. There, he earned two bachelor's degrees. He studied journalism and anthropology.
Ryan Buell's Career in TV and Helping Others
Ryan Buell was the main host of the TV show Paranormal State on the A&E channel. He also worked as an executive producer for the movie American Ghost Hunter, which came out in 2010. In 2011, Ryan and his partner Chad Calek went on a tour for the film.
Ryan also helped produce The Ghost Prophecies. He was a co-creator of that show too. After five seasons, Ryan and his team decided to stop Paranormal State. Their last episode aired on May 2, 2011.
In 2023, Ryan earned a master's degree. He studied Counselor Education at the University of South Carolina. This degree focused on clinical mental health. During his studies, he learned how to help people in counseling sessions. He worked at a private practice as part of his training.
Ryan shared that this experience helped him find his purpose. He felt he grew as a person. He wants to help young people who are struggling. He is especially interested in helping kids with ADHD and trauma survivors.
Ryan Buell began working as a licensed professional counselor associate in September 2023. He works in San Antonio, Texas.

Ryan decided to go back to school to become a therapist. He wanted to help others. He started taking counseling courses in 2018. He graduated with his master's degree in 2023.
Ryan believes that counseling helps people help themselves. He says it helps them make positive changes from within. He hopes that by helping a few people, they can then help others. This creates a positive ripple effect in the world.
