Ryan Nyquist was born on March 6, 1979, in California, USA. He is an amazing American professional BMX rider. He has won many medals, including 16 at the X Games. Ryan is known as one of the best and most skilled BMX riders ever. He has won lots of gold medals in X Games events like Dirt Jumping and Bike Park.
Recently, Ryan has also become interested in freeride mountain biking. He trains in both BMX and mountain biking. He rides for brands like Haro Bikes, Vans Shoes, and Rockstar Energy Drink.

Ryan's Life
Ryan Nyquist used to live in Greenville, North Carolina. Later, he moved back to the San Jose, California area. He lived there with his wife and sons for some time. As of 2018, Ryan lives in Wilmington, NC.
Ryan's Career
Ryan Nyquist became a professional BMX rider in 1995. He first competed in the X Games in 1996. People see him as one of the best contest riders in BMX history. He has been a top finisher for more than 15 years. Ryan is famous for his cool and new barspin tricks. In 2006, he even performed in a charity circus show called Cirque Rocks in New Zealand.
Mountain Biking Adventures
In 2015, Ryan started to show interest in Slopestyle Mountain Biking. By 2016, he trained very hard to compete in Crankworx. He then earned a spot at Red Bull Joyride. There, he finished in the top 10 out of 18 riders. He was also the first rider to use pegs on a mountain bike during an event.
When it's his BMX off-season, Ryan competes in Freeride Slopestyle mountain biking. He quickly became one of the best riders in this sport. In 2017, he won a bronze medal in the big Red Bull Joyride slopestyle event. That same year, he finished 4th overall in the important FMB Diamond Series.
Olympic Dreams
Even though Ryan has focused on mountain biking lately, he planned to get back into park riding. He wanted to try and qualify for the first-ever 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics for BMX Freestyle. In September 2019, it was announced that Ryan would become the first Head Coach for Team USA's Olympic BMX Freestyle team.

In 2003, Ryan Nyquist played himself on an episode of The Jersey. The episode was called "The New Kid in Town." In the show, he switched bodies with a boy named Elliott Rifkin.
Ryan was also shown on MTV Cribs, where people show off their homes. He also made a guest appearance as himself on the cartoon Kim Possible.
