Ryan Walker's Rugby League Journey
Early Career and First Grade Debut
Ryan Walker began his professional career playing for the Sunshine Coast team. He was part of their team that won the 2009 Queensland Cup championship. In 2010, Ryan signed with the Windsor Wolves.
The next year, in 2011, Ryan joined the Penrith Panthers. He made his first appearance in the NRL for the Panthers in a game against the North Queensland Cowboys. This was during round 21 of the 2011 NRL season. Ryan played two more games for the Penrith Panthers that year.
Moving to New Teams
In 2012, Ryan moved to Newcastle and joined the Maitland Pickers team. They play in the local Newcastle Rugby League competition. Later, in 2016, Ryan played for the Newcastle Knights in the NSW Cup competition. After leaving the Knights, he played for Wests Newcastle in the local league. In 2023, Ryan played for the Tweed Seagulls in the Queensland Cup.

Ryan Walker comes from a family of talented rugby league players. He is the older brother of Cody Walker, who is a well-known player for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Ryan is also the cousin of Shannon Walker, who used to play for the Gold Coast Titans.
