Playing for Clubs
Peszko started his football journey in the youth teams. He played for Nafta Jedlicze and then for Orlen Płock. He made his first professional appearance on 28 August 2002. This was in a Polish Cup match. He became a regular player for Wisła Płock in the 2003–04 season.
With Wisła Płock, he helped the team win the Polish Cup and the Supercup in 2006. He also played for them in the UEFA Cup qualifying rounds. Even though Płock was moved down to a lower league in 2007, Peszko stayed with them. He scored 16 goals in 26 games during their I Liga season.

In June 2008, Peszko moved back to the top league. He joined Lech Poznań after his contract with Płock ended. In his first season with Lech Poznań, he won the Polish Cup for the second time. He scored the only goal in the final against Ruch Chorzów. In his second season, Peszko was the top player for assists in the league. He had 14 assists and scored eight goals. In October 2012, he got an injury that kept him from playing for three months. After his injury, he returned to Cologne.
