SK Tirfing is a sports club located in Skutskär, a town in northern Uppland, Sweden. The club was started on January 20, 1923. It is best known for its men's bandy team, which won the Swedish national championship in 1930.
After their big win, the club played in Sweden's top bandy league for seven seasons between 1931 and 1942. SK Tirfing stopped playing bandy in 1981. Today, the club mainly has a women's team handball section.
Club History
When Sweden's bandy league system first began in the 1930–31 season, Tirfing joined Division 1 Norra. They played against other well-known teams like AIK, Hammarby IF, and Västerås SK. In that first season, SK Tirfing finished in fourth place.
