Where is Sabana Llana Located?
Sabana Llana is in a great spot within San Juan. It is located to the east of a neighborhood called Oriente. To its west, you'll find the city of Carolina. If you look north, you'll see the town of Trujillo Alto. The beautiful San José Lagoon is also very close, forming the northern edge of Sabana Llana.
How Many People Live Here?
In the year 2000, about 76,000 people lived in Sabana Llana. That's a lot of people living in one area! This makes it a very lively and busy part of San Juan.
The Two Parts of Sabana Llana
Sabana Llana is actually split into two main parts, each with its own population and size. These two sections help organize the area.
- Sabana Llana del Norte: This northern part had about 32,000 people living there in 2000. Its land area is about 2.39 square miles (6.2 km2). The total area, including water, is about 2.52 square miles (6.5 km2).
- Sabana Llana del Sur: This southern part is a bit larger and had more people, with about 44,000 residents in 2000. Both its land area and total area are about 4.17 square miles (10.8 km2).
