Journey of Sabden Brook
Sabden Brook begins its journey just west of Newchurch-in-Pendle. From there, it flows west through a clear valley. It passes by Sabden Hall and then reaches the village of Sabden. This village is located east of the town of Whalley.
Flowing Towards the River Calder
After passing Sabden village, the brook turns southwest. It becomes wider as it continues its path. Along this part of its journey, you can see Wiswell Moor and an old hillfort at Portfield. Finally, Sabden Brook joins the River Calder near Cock Bridge, close to the village of Read.
