Sage's Surfing Journey
Sage started her surfing adventure when she was young. At nine years old, she moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. When she was 11, she tried surfing for the first time at Sunset Beach with her family. She caught her very first wave and rode it all the way to the shore! After that exciting moment, she started surfing every single day.
When Sage was 14, she moved to Ventura, California, where she still lives today. This is also when she began her career as a competitive surfer. She quickly became very good, winning many events in the NSSA and Pro Junior competitions. These are big contests for young surfers.
In 2012, when Sage was 21, she qualified for the Women's Association of Professional Surfing (ASP). This is a major league for professional surfers, now known as the World Surf League.
