Sagina is a Hindi-language movie from 1974. It was produced by J. K. Kapur and directed by Tapan Sinha. The film stars famous actors like Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.
This movie was a remake of an earlier Bengali film called Sagina Mahato from 1970. That Bengali version also had Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu in the main roles. Unfortunately, the 1974 Hindi version of Sagina was not very successful at the box office.

The movie tells the story of Sagina, a factory worker. He is a strong, honest, and well-liked person. Sagina was the first to stand up against the unfair treatment by the British bosses. This happened in the tea gardens of North-Eastern India. His fight was important for the workers.
