Where is Saint-Valery-sur-Somme Located?
This town is right on the coast of the Hauts-de-France region. It sits next to the famous Baie de la Somme (Bay of Somme). The Somme River also meets the sea here.
Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is about 30 kilometers (about 18 miles) northwest of a city called Abbeville. It's also west of where some big battles took place during the Battle of the Somme in World War I.
Most of the town is right by the sea and the Somme River. You'll find many waterfront streets, like Quai du Romerel and Quai Jeanne d'Arc. The oldest part of the town is on the northern coast. To the south, there's a main road, the CD940, which connects Abbeville to Cayeux-sur-Mer.
