Saladin McCullough was born on July 17, 1975. He is an American former professional football player. He played as a running back. Saladin played for three seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL). His teams included the Edmonton Eskimos, Calgary Stampeders, and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Before playing professionally, Saladin went to several colleges. He attended Pasadena City College, then El Camino Junior College, and finally the University of Oregon. He also played for the Los Angeles Dragons and Los Angeles Xtreme. Saladin's brother, Sultan McCullough, also played football in the NFL.

Early Life and High School Football
Saladin McCullough grew up in Pasadena, California. He played high school football at John Muir High School. He was a very talented player.
During his high school career, Saladin set some amazing records. He ran for 4,429 yards. He also scored 73 touchdowns. In total, he gained 5,748 all-purpose yards. These records show how good he was at running with the ball.
College Football Career
Saladin started his college football journey in 1994. He played for the Pasadena City Lancers at Pasadena City College. In seven games, he ran for 725 yards. He also scored six touchdowns.
In 1995, he moved to El Camino Junior College. There, he played for the El Camino Warriors. He had a great season, rushing for 1,090 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns in ten games. He averaged 8.4 yards every time he carried the ball.
Playing for the Oregon Ducks
From 1996 to 1997, Saladin played for the Oregon Ducks. This was at the University of Oregon. In 1996, he set a school record. He scored fifteen rushing touchdowns in just seven games. This earned him an honorable mention for the All-Pac-10 team.

Professional Football Career
After college, Saladin McCullough began his professional career. He played in one game for the Edmonton Eskimos in the 1999 season. In 2000, he played for the Los Angeles Dragons. This team was part of the Spring Football League.
Playing in the XFL
In the 2001 XFL Draft, the Los Angeles Xtreme picked Saladin. He was the 464th player chosen. During the 2001 season, he scored five rushing touchdowns. He also caught the ball for one receiving touchdown. The Los Angeles Xtreme won the XFL championship that year.
Time in the CFL
In 2003, Saladin played for the Calgary Stampeders. He played in thirteen games for them. He ran for 734 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also caught 32 passes for 298 receiving yards.
In 2004, he played one game for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Before joining these CFL teams, he spent some time with the San Francisco 49ers. He was with them during the preseason in 2002, but he was later released.
