Where is Salem Located?
Salem is found in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is near South Carolina Highway 130 and South Carolina Highway 11. The town is also close to some beautiful lakes and state parks.
- Lake Keowee and Keowee-Toxaway State Park are to the east.
- Lake Jocassee and Devils Fork State Park are to the northeast.
The border between North Carolina and South Carolina is just a few miles north of Salem. The town covers about 0.8 square miles (2.2 square kilometers) of land.
