Salih Uçan (born on January 6, 1994) is a professional footballer from Turkey. He plays as a midfielder for Beşiktaş and also for the Turkish national team.

Salih Uçan's Club Journey
Salih Uçan has played for several football clubs throughout his career. He started his professional journey in Turkey before moving to clubs in Italy and Switzerland.
Playing for Fenerbahçe
Fenerbahçe signed Salih Uçan on June 6, 2012. He was a young player, and his transfer fee was quite high for a Turkish youth player at that time. He signed a five-year contract with the club.
His first goal for Fenerbahçe was in a UEFA Europa League match. This happened on March 14, 2013, against Viktoria Plzeň. His goal helped Fenerbahçe move forward in the competition. He also scored two goals in a league game against Orduspor, helping his team win.
Loan to Roma
On July 7, 2014, Salih Uçan moved to Roma in Italy. This was a two-year loan deal. A loan means a player temporarily plays for another team. Roma had the option to buy him permanently later.
He played his first official game for Roma on October 18, 2014, in a 3–0 win against Chievo. After two years, Roma decided not to sign him permanently. He had played 10 games for them.
Loan to Sion
In July 2016, Salih returned to Fenerbahçe. However, he was loaned out again a year later. On August 31, 2017, he joined Swiss Super League club Sion in Switzerland for one year. During his time there, he played 19 league matches.
Loan to Empoli
After his loan at Sion ended, Salih Uçan returned to Fenerbahçe again in July 2018. Soon after, on August 17, 2018, he was loaned to Empoli, an Italian Serie A club.
He scored a goal in his very first game for Empoli. This was on October 21, 2018, in a 3–3 draw against Frosinone. Later, on January 31, 2019, his move to Empoli was made permanent. This meant he was no longer on loan and officially belonged to Empoli.
Joining Alanyaspor
On July 10, 2019, Salih Uçan signed with another Turkish club, Alanyaspor. He played for them for two seasons.
Playing for Beşiktaş
After his contract with Alanyaspor ended in June 2021, Salih Uçan joined Beşiktaş. He moved on a free transfer, which means Beşiktaş did not have to pay a transfer fee to his previous club. Beşiktaş announced his arrival on July 4, 2021.
On June 28, 2024, Salih Uçan signed a new contract with Beşiktaş. This shows he is an important part of the team.
Loan to İstanbul Başakşehir
During his time at Beşiktaş, Salih Uçan was loaned to İstanbul Başakşehir on January 28, 2022. He played for them until the end of that season.
Salih Uçan's International Career
Salih Uçan has represented Turkey at many different age levels. He played for the Turkish national team from under-15 all the way up to the senior team.
He was part of the Turkey national under-20 football team that played in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup. His first game for the senior Turkey team was on November 15, 2013. This match was against Northern Ireland in Adana.
