Samuel Mayer Russ Hammington (born on July 31, 1977) is a funny Australian comedian. He was born in New Zealand but is most famous for his work in South Korea. Sam hosted a radio show called Drivetime for several years. He also became a well-known face on popular Korean TV shows. You might know him from the military reality show Real Men. He was also a main cast member of the very popular KBS reality show The Return of Superman with his two sons, William and Bentley Hammington.

Sam Hammington was born in Wellington, New Zealand, on July 31, 1977. His mother, Jan Russ, is a famous casting director. His family background is English.
While Sam was studying business at university, he decided to learn an Asian language. He thought this would help him with his future career. Many students were learning Japanese or Chinese. So, Sam chose to study Korean instead. He studied Korean for 18 months. Then, in 2002, he became a transfer student at Korea University in South Korea.

In October 2013, Sam Hammington married Jeong Yu-mi, who is Korean. They had two wedding ceremonies. One was a traditional Korean wedding in Korea. The other was in his home country, Australia, at the Melbourne Zoo.
Sam and Yu-mi have two sons. Their first son is William (Hangul: 정태오; Jeong Tae-oh) Hammington. He was born on July 12, 2016. Their second son is Bentley (Hangul: 정우성; Jeong Woo-seong) Hammington. He was born on November 8, 2017. The family became very popular on The Return of Superman.
