Samantha Bricio (born November 22, 1994) is a professional volleyball player from Mexico. She made history as the youngest player ever to join the Mexican national team. Samantha has won many awards, including Best Scorer and Best Server at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. She also earned the Best Scorer award at the 2011 Youth Pan-American Cup, 2011 Junior Pan-American Cup, and 2013 Pan-American Cup.

About Samantha Bricio
Samantha Bricio was born on November 22, 1994, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 128 pounds. Samantha went to high school in Guadalajara. Her brother, Irving Alberto José, is also a talented volleyball player. He was part of the Mexican men's national team that won the Pan-American Cup in 2007. Samantha earned a degree in psychology from the University of Southern California in 2016.

Early Career and Awards (2008-2009)
In 2008, Samantha won a gold medal at the Mexican National Games in the 13–14-year-old group. She also earned a silver medal at the NORCECA U-18 Championship, which helped her team qualify for the 2009 U-18 World Championships. Even at a young age, she was recognized as a "Rising Star" at the 2008 NORCECA U-20 Championship.
In 2009, Samantha played in the 2009 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship in Thailand. She was only 14, making her the youngest player on the team. Her team reached the second round for the first time, finishing ninth. Samantha's amazing performance caught the eye of the Mexican Volleyball Federation, who saw her potential for future big events like the 2011 Pan American Games and the 2012 Olympics. At the end of that year, Samantha and her brother Irving received an award from the city of Guadalajara.
National Team Debut and Success (2010-2011)
In 2010, Samantha continued to shine. She won a silver medal and was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the NORCECA Youth Championship. This helped her team qualify for the 2011 Girls Youth World Championship. Samantha also joined the senior national team for the first time at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. At just 15 years old, she was the youngest player ever on the Mexican national team. She won awards for Best Scorer and Best Server, and her team finished fifth. Samantha also received a special Medal of Sporting Merit from Guadalajara for her achievements.
In 2011, Samantha helped her regional team, Jalisco, qualify for the National Games. She played with Mexico's junior team in the first Junior Pan-American Cup, where she was the Best Scorer. She also won a silver medal and the Best Scorer award at the first Girls' Youth Pan-American Cup. During a championship in Arizona, several colleges noticed her talent, and she decided to attend the University of Southern California. Samantha also played in the 2011 FIVB Girls Youth World Championship, where her team finished twelfth. She continued to play for Mexico's senior team at the 2011 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship and the Volleyball at the 2011 Pan American Games. College and Professional Achievements (2012-2017)
In 2012, Samantha helped her high school team win the Private High Schools National Championship. She received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Southern California after getting 12 offers from different colleges. She quickly became a star for the Trojans, leading them to a win at the Texas A&M Invitational and earning the Most Valuable Player award. After her first college season, Volleyball Magazine named her the NCAA Freshman of the Year. She also received many other honors, including being named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team.
In 2013, Samantha played in the 2013 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup with her U-20 national team. This was a practice for the 2013 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship. She once again earned the Best Scorer award.
In 2016, while at USC, Samantha won the prestigious Honda Sports Award. This award recognizes the best female college volleyball player in the nation. After college, she joined the American Premier Volleyball League club Chesapeake Rising Tide. She helped her team win a bronze medal in a league tournament. Later that year, she signed with the Italian league champion club Imoco Volley Conegliano. She was selected for the All-Star game and helped her team win the Italian Supercup, where she was named the Most Valuable Player.
In 2017, Samantha continued to play for Imoco Volley Conegliano. She helped her team in the 2016–17 CEV Women's Champions League and the Italian Cup, which her team won. She later suffered an injury that kept her from playing in the CEV Champions League Final Four, where her team won a silver medal.
