San Juan Nepomuceno is an important city and district in the country of Paraguay. It is located in the Caazapá region. This city has the largest number of people living in its main urban area within the department.
Location and Surroundings
San Juan Nepomuceno is about 249 kilometers (155 miles) southeast of Asuncion, which is the capital city of Paraguay. You can reach it by following the Blas Garay highway. This highway is a branch of National Highway Number 8 and splits off near the town of Ñumí.
The district is in the eastern part of the Caazapá Department. It shares its borders with several other districts. To the north, it borders General Higinio Morínigo and Abaí. To the east, it borders Tavaí. To the south, you'll find Yuty, and to the west, it borders Buena Vista and Caazapá. It also borders one district from the Itapúa region, which is Alto Verá.
Population Information
According to a count done in 2002, the main urban area of San Juan Nepomuceno is home to 6,937 people. This makes it the largest city area in the Caazapá Department.
