San Leonardo de Yagüe is a small town and municipality in Spain. It is located in the province of Soria, which is part of the region of Castile and León. This town is one of the most populated places in the Pinares area of Soria.
About 2,000 people live in San Leonardo de Yagüe. The town has schools for primary and secondary students. Children from nearby towns like Navaleno and Hontoria del Pinar also come here to study. A large factory called Puertas Norma is located here. It makes doors and parts for homes. This factory has been a very important workplace for many people in the town.

When Was San Leonardo de Yagüe Founded?
We do not know the exact year San Leonardo de Yagüe was started. However, historians believe it was founded a long time ago, possibly between the years 900 and 1100. The oldest written record that mentions the village is from 1173. This record was a special document given by King Alfonso VIII.
How Did San Leonardo de Yagüe Get Its Name?
The town was originally named San Leonardo. In 1891, a person named Juan Yagüe was born here. He later became a general in the army of Francisco Franco. After Juan Yagüe passed away in 1952, the town's name was changed to San Leonardo de Yagüe to honor him.
