Early Life and Beginnings
Quincy Adams Brooks was born in Oakland, California. He moved to the Fillmore District of San Francisco when he was three years old. This neighborhood played a big part in his music and life. He went to George Washington High School.
San Quinn started rapping at a very young age. He performed as an opening act for famous rappers like 2Pac when he was only 12. By the time he was 15, he had already recorded his first music album.
Music Career Highlights
San Quinn has had a busy career in music. Besides making solo albums, he is also part of a rap group. This group is called Get Low Playaz. Other members include JT The Bigga Figga, D-Moe, and Seff Tha Gaffla.
One of his most famous songs is "Shock the Party." This song uses a sample from "One Love" by the group Whodini. The music video for "Shock the Party" was filmed in the Fillmore district. It showed the Buena Vista Plaza East public housing towers, which were known as OC Housing Projects.
