Sanam Krishan Singh, born on January 11, 1988, is a former tennis player from India. He achieved great success in doubles tennis. Sanam won a gold medal in doubles and a bronze medal in the team event at the 2010 Asian Games. He also earned a silver medal in doubles at the 2014 Asian Games.

Sanam played college tennis at the University of Virginia from 2007 to 2011. After his playing career, he became an assistant tennis coach at Harvard University.

Early Tennis Career

Sanam Singh was a very talented junior tennis player. In 2005, he was ranked fourth in the world among junior players. He competed in all four major junior Grand Slam tournaments. He reached the round of 16 at the Junior Australian Open and Junior Wimbledon. He also won the Asia/Oceania Closed Championship singles title in 2005. In 2007, he made it to the quarter-finals of a professional tournament in India.

Doubles Success

Sanam Singh had a strong career in doubles tennis. He played in many ATP Challenger Tour events, which are professional tournaments below the main ATP Tour. He won four doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. These wins happened in India, specifically in Kolkata and New Delhi in 2014, and Pune in 2014, and Bangalore in 2015. He also reached the finals five other times in these tournaments.

Asian Games Medals

Sanam Singh represented India in the Asian Games, which is a big sports event for athletes from Asian countries. He won several medals for his country.
