Sant Vicent de sa Cala is a small village, also called a hamlet, located in the northeast part of the Spanish island of Ibiza. It's part of the Sant Joan de Labritja area. This quiet spot is just a short distance west of the popular beach and holiday area called Cala de Sant Vicent.
You can find Sant Vicent de sa Cala on the north side of the PM-811 road. This road connects Sant Joan de Labritja and Cala de Sant Vicent. The hamlet is about 18.8 miles (30.2 km) northeast of Ibiza Town and 23.4 miles (37.7 km) from Ibiza Airport.
Exploring Sant Vicent de sa Cala
Sant Vicent de sa Cala is the tiniest community on the island of Ibiza. It is about 3.0 km (1.9 mi) west of the Cala de Sant Vicent resort. The hamlet is nestled in a valley.
The Village Layout
The village is made up of a few houses gathered around a small, old church. You can reach the church by turning north off the main PM 811 road.
The Church of Sant Vicent
The church in the hamlet is called Església Sant Vicent. It was built a long time ago, between 1827 and 1838. The church has a special entrance with two arches. In front of the church, there's a tiny open space, like a small town square. This little plaza has just one palm tree standing tall. The front of the church looks very simple. However, there is a small sign that says the church is the "house of God and gate to heaven."
