Santa's Workshop is a fun Disney short film. It was first shown on December 10, 1932. This cartoon is part of the Silly Symphonies series. It shows Santa Claus and his helpful elves getting ready for Christmas. They are busy making toys in Santa's workshop.
A follow-up film was made the next year. It was called The Night Before Christmas. That film showed Santa delivering toys to a house with nine children. It was partly based on an old poem.
In some countries like Sweden and Norway, Santa's Workshop is a special part of a Christmas TV show. This show is called From All of Us to All of You. It is usually shown on Christmas Eve.
Santa's Workshop was one of the first "Silly Symphonies" cartoons. It used a new sound system called RCA's Photophone. This system helped to make the sound and picture work together. The film also uses music from the famous composer Franz Schubert.

Over the years, Santa's Workshop has been released for people to watch at home.
Early Releases
The short film was on early VHS tapes of A Walt Disney Christmas. These versions included all the original scenes.
Later Releases and Changes
Later, the film was released on a special collection. This was called Walt Disney Treasures: More Silly Symphonies, Volume Two. It came out on December 19, 2006. Some parts of the film were changed over time. This was because certain scenes were later seen as not appropriate.
The film was updated to high definition (HD) and put on Disney+. This happened on November 12, 2019. The scenes that were considered not appropriate were removed from this version. Disney+ first said the film was shown as it was originally made. But this statement was later taken off the streaming service.
