Sarah-Jane Mee's TV Journey
Sarah-Jane Mee studied at the University of Manchester. After finishing her studies, she started her career at Sky Sports. She began by helping out behind the scenes. She then moved to planning news stories before becoming a producer. A producer helps make sure TV shows are ready to go on air.
Working at ITV Central
In 2002, Sarah-Jane joined ITV Central. She started by presenting sports news on Central News West. Later, she moved on to present the main news program. She also hosted a football show called Soccer Monday.
Sarah-Jane became the main sports presenter for ITV in the Midlands. She presented sports news on Central Tonight most evenings. She also hosted ITV Central's weekly show, Central Soccer Night. She even co-hosted a football program called Hancock's Half-Time with Nick Hancock.
After Nick Hancock left, the show went back to its original name, Central Soccer Night. Sarah-Jane continued to host it until 2007. She worked alongside former football star Stan Collymore. She also co-presented the TV show Pulling Power with Mike Brewer and Edd China.
Radio and Return to Sky
Sarah-Jane also worked in radio starting in 2006. She filled in as a host on the Ed James Breakfast Show on 100.7 Heart FM. She did such a good job that she became a regular host in 2007.
In 2008, she decided to leave both ITV Central and Heart FM. She returned to Sky Sports. She joined the team covering the UEFA Champions League football matches. Since 2009, she has also co-presented Cricket AM on Sky Sports. In 2013, she started a new weekly show called What's The Story?.
In 2014, Sarah-Jane took on a big challenge. She cycled 190 kilometers (about 118 miles) for a Sky Sports show. This was part of the Tour de France route, from Leeds to Harrogate. The show was called Riding The Dales.
Current Shows at Sky News
In October 2019, Sarah-Jane Mee began presenting The Sarah-Jane Mee Show on Sky News. This show aired Monday to Thursday afternoons. She presented the final episode of this show on August 31, 2023.
On October 2, 2023, Sarah-Jane started her new evening show. It's called The UK Tonight with Sarah-Jane Mee and it airs during primetime on Sky News.

Sarah-Jane Mee is married to Ben Richardson. He is the chief executive of a company that helps build brands. They got married in 2022. They have one daughter, who was born in June 2020. Sarah-Jane is also a stepmother to Ben's son from a previous relationship.
