Sarah Rees Brennan (born September 21, 1983) is a talented Irish writer who creates amazing fantasy novels. Her books are very popular and have become bestsellers in both the UK and the USA.
Sarah Rees Brennan's first novel, The Demon's Lexicon, came out in 2009. It was even considered for the famous Carnegie Medal award. Her fantasy book In Other Lands was a finalist for the 2017 Lodestar Award for Best Young Adult Book, which is a big deal for young adult novels. Her adult fantasy novel, Long Live Evil, quickly became a bestseller in the USA and the UK. It was also featured on The New York Times lists for both Best Fantasy and Best Romance in 2024.

Sarah Rees Brennan was born in Ireland. She studied Creative Writing at Kingston University in London. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a librarian in Surrey, England. Now, she lives in Dublin.
Sarah has been writing stories since she was just five years old! She also has a popular blog where she connects with over 4,000 subscribers.
She wrote her first novel, The Demon's Lexicon, while she was still studying for her master's degree. A big publishing company, Simon & Schuster, signed a deal with her for three books. Awards and Recognition
Many of Sarah Rees Brennan's books have received special recognition. Three of her books, Untold (2014), Unmade (2014), and In Other Lands (2017), were chosen as Junior Library Guild books. This means they are highly recommended for young readers.
Her first novel, The Demon's Lexicon, received excellent reviews from important book journals like Kirkus Reviews and School Library Journal.

In 2025, her novel Long Live Evil won the ESFS Award for Best Written Work of Fiction.
