Sarandí del Arapey is found in a rural area of Uruguay. It is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) off Route 30. This road leads west from the main highway. The village is also about 17 kilometers (11 miles) northwest of Masoller. Masoller is a town in the nearby Rivera Department. Sarandí del Arapey is also about 75 kilometers (47 miles) southeast of Artigas. Artigas is the main city of the Artigas Department.
