Yaneisha Franklin, known by her stage name Sasha Go Hard, is an American rapper and singer. She was born on November 8, 1991.
Early Life and Musical Start
Sasha Go Hard grew up in Chicago, Illinois, with her brother and two sisters. She started writing song lyrics when she was 12 years old. She said she always loved to rhyme, even as a child.
Sasha looks up to other famous artists like Lauryn Hill, Trina, Lil’ Kim, and Nicki Minaj. These artists inspired her own musical journey.
Sasha Go Hard's Music Career
Sasha Go Hard is one of the young female rappers from Chicago's drill music scene. Drill music is a style of hip hop that started in Chicago.
She has been featured in many places, including MTV Sucker Free Chicago. She also appeared on the cover of Chicago's Redeye newspaper. WorldstarHipHop named her artist of the week, and Complex magazine also featured her work. In 2012, she released a song called "I Ain't No Hitta" with fellow artist Dreezy.

In 2018, Sasha Go Hard appeared on the Netflix reality show Rhythm & Flow. This show was a competition where rappers tried to win a $250,000 prize and a record deal. Judges included famous rappers like Cardi B, Chance The Rapper, and T.I. During her tryout, Chance the Rapper and Twista praised her as the best local rapper in Chicago. However, she was sent home during the first challenge after she stumbled during a rap performance.
She also wrote and performed the main theme song for the HBO Max TV series "South Side" in 2019. She used her birth name, Yaneisha Franklin, for this song.
