Seandrea Sledge (born March 28, 1994), known as Dreezy, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Chicago, Illinois. Dreezy signed with Interscope Records in 2014. Under this label, she released two studio albums: No Hard Feelings (2016) and Big Dreez (2019). In 2020, she decided to become an independent artist. She then released Hitgirl (2022), a special album made with producer Hit-Boy.

Dreezy's Early Life
Seandrea Sledge grew up on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. Her family moved around a lot within the city. To deal with the challenges of growing up, Dreezy found comfort in the fine arts.
She started exploring different art forms. At age 10, she began singing. Music became a way for her to escape and express herself. By the time she was 14, Dreezy became interested in becoming a rapper. She looks up to rappers like J. Cole and Lil Wayne. She even calls J. Cole her favorite rapper of all time.
Dreezy's Music Career
Starting Out (2012–2013)
Dreezy spent more and more time rapping. She became good friends with another Chicago rapper, Sasha Go Hard. In 2012, Dreezy was featured on Sasha's song, "I Ain't No Hitta." Later, Dreezy released her own song called "Ghost" with rapper Lil Durk.
In February 2013, Dreezy released a mixtape called Business N Pleasure. She made this mixtape with fellow Chicago rapper Mikey Dollaz. In February 2014, she released her first solo mixtape, Schizo. This mixtape included a song called "No Good" featuring the famous rapper Common.
Signing with Interscope Records (2014–2019)
In April 2014, Dreezy released her own version of the song "Chiraq." The original song was by Nicki Minaj and Lil Herb. Many fans thought Dreezy's version was even better than the original. This remix got a lot of attention. It led to her working with rapper Common on his album Nobody's Smiling.
In 2014, a magazine called Vice named her the "Princess of Chicago Rap." In December 2014, Dreezy signed a big record deal with Interscope Records.
On July 28, 2015, Dreezy released her first short album, called an EP, titled Call It What You Want. On December 25, 2015, she released another EP called From Now On. This was available for digital download and streaming. In January 2016, Dreezy released the song "Body." This song became her first to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. It reached number 62. Her first full album, No Hard Feelings, came out on July 15, 2016.
In 2018, Dreezy performed at a big music festival called Rolling Loud. In January 2019, she released her second album, Big Dreez. She also appeared in the Netflix movie Beats. In the movie, she played a character named Queen Cabrini.
Becoming Independent (2020–Present)
In 2020, Dreezy decided to leave Interscope Records. She chose to become an independent artist. This means she now releases her music on her own.
On May 11, 2022, Dreezy released a song called "Balance My Lows." It featured rapper Coi Leray. This song was the first single from her album Hitgirl. She made Hitgirl with American record producer Hit-Boy. The album was released on May 20, 2022.
