Rayshawn Lamar Bennett (born February 16, 1991), known as YFN Lucci, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. In 2014, he signed with Think It's A Game Entertainment. He released his first mixtape, Wish Me Well, in December of that year. His second mixtape, Wish Me Well 2 (2016), was his first album to appear on the Billboard 200 music chart. This mixtape included the song "Key to the Streets" (featuring Migos and Trouble), which was his first song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first mini-album, called an extended play (EP), Long Live Nut (2017), reached number 27 on the chart. It featured the song "Everyday We Lit" (featuring PnB Rock), which became his highest-charting song, reaching number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. His first studio album, Ray Ray from Summerhill (2018), reached number 14 on the Billboard 200.

Rayshawn Lamar Bennett was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up listening to famous Atlanta rappers like T.I. and Jeezy. He found his own musical talent when he was 16 years old. Rapper Johnny Cinco encouraged him to take his music seriously. Lucci's older brother is also a rapper, known as YFN KAY.

2014–2016: How It Began and First Hits
In December 2014, Lucci signed a music deal with Think It's A Game Entertainment. He then released his first mixtape, Wish Me Well. In February 2016, he released the Wish Me Well 2 mixtape. This album reached number 183 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The popular song from this mixtape, "Key to the Streets", featured Migos and Trouble. It reached number 70 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. A new version of the song included 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and Quavo. "Key to the Streets" was named one of the best hip-hop songs of 2016 by XXL and Vibe magazines. The mixtape's second song was "YFN", which also had a music video.
In September 2016, Lucci was featured on the cover of Rolling Out magazine. Other artists like Migos, 21 Savage, and Young Dolph were also on the cover. In October 2016, rapper Meek Mill released a song called "You Know" with Lucci. This song appeared on Mill's DC4 mixtape. In December 2016, Billboard magazine listed Lucci as one of the 10 Hip-Hop and R&B Artists to Watch in 2017.
Since 2017: Long Live Nut and Ray Ray From Summerhill
In April 2017, Lucci released his first mini-album, Long Live Nut. It featured other artists like Rick Ross, Dreezy, and PnB Rock. This EP debuted at number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart. The main song from this project, "Everyday We Lit" featuring PnB Rock, reached number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On March 9, 2018, Lucci released his first full studio album, Ray Ray From Summerhill. This album included many guest artists, such as Dreezy and Meek Mill.
On February 14, 2020, Lucci released his song "Wet (She Got That...)". A new version of this song, featuring Mulatto, came out on September 18, 2020. "Wet" was the main song from Lucci's mixtape Wish Me Well 3, which was released in December 2020.
Other Projects
In 2017, Lucci and artist Jacquees were chosen to be models for Sean John's clothing campaigns. They appeared in the holiday 2017 and spring 2018 ads.
His Music Style
Lucci talked about how he developed his unique singing-rapping style in an interview with Noisey. He said that he always had a high-pitched voice when he talked loudly. He listened to Ja Rule and learned to rap. If his verses didn't sound right when he rapped them, he would sing them instead. He found that singing made them sound better. His friends liked this style, so he continued to use it.
