Satoshi Horinouchi (堀之内 聖, Horinouchi Satoshi, born October 26, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender for several teams, most notably for Urawa Reds, where he won many important championships.

Satoshi Horinouchi's Football Journey

Satoshi Horinouchi was born in Saitama, Japan, on October 26, 1979. After finishing his studies at Tokyo Gakugei University, he started his professional football career.

Playing for Urawa Reds

In 2002, Satoshi Horinouchi joined Urawa Reds, a top club in the J1 League. He began to play more often in 2003. By 2005, he was a key player, often playing as a "stopper" in a defense with three players.

His time at Urawa Reds was very successful. In 2005, the team won the Emperor's Cup. Satoshi even scored the first goal in the final match! The next year, in 2006, he became a regular player. He helped Urawa Reds win the J1 League championship for the very first time in the club's history.

In 2007, Urawa Reds achieved another big win. They became champions of the AFC Champions League, which is a major football competition in Asia. Satoshi continued to play many matches for the team, sometimes as a defensive midfielder. He stayed with Urawa Reds until 2011.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2012, Satoshi Horinouchi moved to Yokohama FC, a club in the J2 League. He played as a center back for them. The following year, 2013, he joined another J2 club, Montedio Yamagata. He played many matches as a center back there too. Satoshi Horinouchi decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2013 season.
