Schwoich is a small community in Austria. It is located in the Kufstein area of the Tyrol state. Schwoich is about 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) south of the city of Kufstein. It sits on the southern side of the Inn River.
The area where Schwoich is located has been settled since the 6th century. The community was first mentioned in writing around the year 1280. Back then, it was called "Swiuch" or "Schweng". Today, Schwoich is made up of nine smaller parts, which are like small villages or neighborhoods.
