Deanii Andrea Scott (pronounced /diɒni/ dee-AH-nee; born October 3, 1990), known as Scottie Beam, is an American media personality, model, and podcaster. She is well-known for her work at Hot 97, a popular radio station, where she worked for ten years. She was also a co-host on the show State of the Culture. Scottie Beam has also hosted podcasts like Black Girl Podcast and Okay, Now Listen.

Early Life and Beginnings
Deanii Scott was born and grew up in the Bronx, New York. Her mother, Shaila Scott, has been a DJ for 107.5 WBLS radio station for many years.
Scottie Beam started her journey in radio by working with the street team for KISS FM. This team helped promote the station. Later, she moved to Hot 97. She went to Clark Atlanta University for a short time but decided to return to New York. She wanted to follow her dream of working in the music industry.
Career Highlights
Scottie worked as a digital producer for Columbia Records. This meant she helped create and manage digital content for music artists. After this, she went back to Hot 97. There, she produced shows for famous radio hosts like Angie Martinez and later for Ebro in the Morning. A producer helps organize the show, finds guests, and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
After ten years at Hot 97, Scottie became a co-host for Revolt TV's show State of the Culture. She left this role in 2019.
Modeling and Important Topics
Scottie Beam has also worked as a model. She has modeled for big brands such as Nike, Foot Locker, and The North Face. She often speaks out about important issues, especially those affecting Black women. For example, she has talked about colorism, which is when people are treated differently based on their skin tone.
Podcasting Ventures
In 2017, Scottie started a podcast called Black Girl Podcast. She co-hosts it with four other women who also used to work at Hot 97. The podcast talks about pop culture and topics important to young women who are starting their careers.
In April 2020, Scottie began co-hosting another podcast called Okay, Now Listen. She hosted this show with journalist Sylvia Obell. It was sponsored by Netflix's Strong Black Lead. The podcast featured the two women discussing their lives and current events from a Black cultural viewpoint. This show finished in July 2022.
As of July 2023, Scottie and Sylvia Obell are co-hosting a new podcast together. It is called The Scottie and Sylvia Show and is produced by Issa Rae's company, Raedio.
