Kyle Jones (born in Camden, New Jersey), known as Scratch, is an American hip hop musician. He is famous for his amazing Beatboxing and vocal scratch sounds. He was a member of the Grammy Award-winning band The Roots. Scratch is well-known for making music sounds like a Hip hop Turntablist using only his voice and special loop machines.

Kyle Jones, or Scratch, is a talented musician from New Jersey. He uses his voice to create incredible sounds. He can make drum beats, record scratches, and other cool effects. He is often called a "human turntablist" because he can do what a DJ does with records, but just with his mouth!
His Journey in Music
Scratch started his music career in a rap group called Schoolz of Thought in Philadelphia. He then joined the famous band The Roots in 1996. The Roots are known for their live music and unique hip hop style.
After some time with The Roots, Scratch decided to make his own music. He released his first solo album, The Embodiment of Instrumentation, in 2002. He later released another album called Loss 4 Wordz in 2009. This album featured other big artists like Kanye West and Damon Albarn.
Other Cool Projects
Scratch has worked on many different music projects. In 2004, he helped out on a song called "Wadidyusay?" for the group Zap Mama.
He is also part of a fun group called Dino 5. They released their first album, Baby Loves Hip Hop, in 2008. In Dino 5, Scratch plays a character named Teo, who is a Pterodactyl!
