Seaboard is a small town located in Northampton County, North Carolina, in the United States. It was first created in the mid-1840s by the Seaboard and Roanoke Railroad. This town was built as a special place for railroad workers to live. It is about 10 miles northeast of Weldon.

In 2020, about 542 people lived in Seaboard. The town is part of the larger Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina area.

History of Seaboard

People first started settling in the area around Seaboard in the year 1750. The town officially became a town, or "incorporated," in 1877. It was named after the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, which was an important railway system.

A special area called the Seaboard Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. This means it's a place with important old buildings and history that should be protected.

Seaboard is located along North Carolina Highway 186. It is also very close to the border between North Carolina and Virginia. North Carolina Highway 305 ends in Seaboard.
