Sean Ugochukwu "Ugo" Okoli, born on February 3, 1993, is a former American professional soccer player. He played as a forward, which means he was usually trying to score goals for his team.

Sean Okoli's Soccer Journey
Starting Out in Washington
Sean Okoli was born in Federal Way, Washington. He started his soccer journey with the Seattle Sounders FC Academy. This is a special program that helps young players get better at soccer.
In 2011, Sean went to Wake Forest University for college. He played for their soccer team, the Demon Deacons. He was a great player there, scoring 24 goals and helping his team with 9 assists. He also earned special awards called All-ACC honors every year he was there.
While in college, Sean also played for the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 team in 2012 and 2013. This team is for players under 23 years old. He was also one of the first players from the Academy to play for the Seattle Sounders' reserve team in 2011.
Becoming a Professional Player
In January 2014, Sean Okoli signed his first professional contract with Seattle Sounders FC. This was a big step for him! He played his first game for the Sounders on March 8, 2014. It was a Major League Soccer game against Sporting Kansas City. Sean came into the game near the end and helped his team score the winning goal. They won the game 1–0.
In 2015, Sean moved to a new team, the New England Revolution. The Sounders traded his rights to them.
After leaving New England, Sean joined FC Cincinnati for the 2016 season. This team played in the United Soccer League (USL). Sean had an amazing year with FC Cincinnati! He scored 16 goals, which was the most in the entire league. Because of this, he won the Golden Boot award and was also named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
After his successful season with FC Cincinnati, Sean returned to Major League Soccer. He signed with New York City FC in December 2016. He played for them during the 2017 season.
Later, Sean played for teams in other countries. In August 2018, he signed with FK Jerv in Norway. In July 2019, he joined Pinzgau Saalfelden in Austria.
Sean came back to play in the United States in 2020, signing with Orange County SC. In 2021, he joined Austin Bold. His last team was Monterey Bay FC, which he joined in April 2023. He left Monterey Bay after their 2023 season.
