Sean Ugochukwu Okoli (born February 3, 1993) is an American soccer player. He plays as a forward, which means he tries to score goals. He is sometimes called "Ugo" by his friends and teammates.

Soccer Journey
Starting Out in Soccer
Sean Okoli was born in Federal Way, Washington. He loved soccer from a young age. He joined the Seattle Sounders FC Academy to improve his skills.
After the academy, Sean went to Wake Forest University in 2011. He played for their soccer team, the Demon Deacons. He was a great player there, scoring 24 goals and making 9 assists. He also earned special awards in all three seasons he played.
While in college, Sean also played for the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 team. This was a step up, helping him get ready for professional soccer. He was one of the first academy players to play for the Seattle Sounders' reserve team.
Becoming a Professional Player
In January 2014, Sean Okoli signed his first professional contract. He joined Seattle Sounders FC, a big team in Major League Soccer. He played his first game on March 8, 2014. He helped his team win that game by setting up a goal!
In 2015, Sean moved to another team, the New England Revolution. He played a few games for them before moving on.
Sean then joined FC Cincinnati for the 2016 season. This was a fantastic year for him! He scored 16 goals, which was the most in the United Soccer League (USL). Because of his amazing performance, he won two big awards:
- The Golden Boot (for scoring the most goals)
- The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the league
After his successful time at FC Cincinnati, Sean returned to Major League Soccer. He signed with New York City FC in December 2016. He played for them for one season.
Later, Sean played for teams in other countries. In August 2018, he joined FK Jerv in Norway. In July 2019, he moved to Pinzgau Saalfelden in Austria.
Sean came back to the United States in 2020. He played for Orange County SC. In 2021, he joined Austin Bold. He returned to Orange County SC later that year. In 2023, he played for Monterey Bay FC.
