Sean Young started her movie career in Jane Austen in Manhattan (1980). After that, she had a role in Stripes (1981). She then played the main female character, Rachael, with Harrison Ford in the famous science fiction movie Blade Runner (1982).

On television, Young played the main female role in Under the Biltmore Clock (1986). This show was based on a story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The next year, she had a small part in the movie Wall Street (1987). She played the wife of Michael Douglas's character. Her role was planned to be bigger, but it was made smaller.

Key Roles and Challenges

One of Young's important roles was in No Way Out (1987). She played the girlfriend of a powerful politician. She also appeared in Dune (1984) as Chani, who was Paul Atreides's love interest. Other movies include Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend (1985) and Fatal Instinct (1993).

Young was also cast as Tess Trueheart in Dick Tracy (1990). But she was replaced because the director felt she didn't look like a mother. In 1994, she played the main bad guy in the comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. She also played Helen Hyde in Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde (1995).
