Jesusemilore Talodabijesu "Semi" Ojeleye (born December 5, 1994) is a professional basketball player. He is from both Nigeria and America. Semi plays for Crvena zvezda in the ABA League. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball for Duke University and Southern Methodist University.

Semi Ojeleye's Early Life and College Basketball Journey
Semi Ojeleye's parents moved from Nigeria to Ottawa, Kansas. He became a star player at Ottawa High School. In 2013, he was even named the Parade Magazine National Player of the Year.
Playing for Duke and SMU
Semi chose to play college basketball at Duke. It is a very famous basketball school. However, he did not play much in his two seasons there. He wanted to play more, so he moved to SMU.
At SMU, Semi became a key player. In the 2016–17 season, he helped his team win the American Athletic Conference (AAC) regular season and tournament championships. He scored about 19 points and grabbed almost 7 rebounds per game. Because of his great play, he was named the AAC Player of the Year.
Semi Ojeleye's Professional Basketball Career
After his successful college season, Semi decided to enter the 2017 NBA draft. He was invited to the NBA Draft Combine, where he showed off his skills. After doing well, he decided to stay in the draft.
Time with the Boston Celtics (2017–2021)
The Boston Celtics picked Semi Ojeleye in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft. He was the 37th player chosen overall.
Semi played his first professional game on October 17, 2017. During his time with the Celtics, he became known for his strong defense. In one important playoff game against the Milwaukee Bucks, he helped guard Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Playing for the Milwaukee Bucks (2021–2022)
On August 6, 2021, Semi Ojeleye signed a contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. He played for them for part of the 2021–2022 season.
Short Time with the Los Angeles Clippers (2022)
On February 10, 2022, Semi was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. This was part of a trade involving four different teams. He played for the Clippers for a short time before being waived on March 26, 2022.
Playing in Italy with Virtus Bologna (2022–2023)
On July 28, 2022, Semi Ojeleye signed a two-year deal with Virtus Bologna. This is a team in Italy that also plays in the EuroLeague.
In September 2022, Virtus Bologna won the Italian Basketball Supercup. They beat Banco di Sardegna Sassari in the final game. Semi Ojeleye was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the competition.
Even with this win, Virtus Bologna did not make the playoffs in the EuroLeague that season. They also lost in the final of the Italian Basketball Cup. In June, they lost in the national finals to Olimpia Milan.
Moving to Spain with Valencia (2023–2025)
On July 1, 2023, Semi Ojeleye's contract with Bologna was bought out. He then joined Valencia, a team in Spain. He played for Valencia until 2025.
Current Team: Crvena Zvezda (2025–Present)
As of 2025, Semi Ojeleye plays for Crvena Zvezda. He continues his professional basketball career with this team.
