Sergej Trifunović (born September 2, 1972) is a famous Serbian actor, comedian, and singer. He is also known for being a politician and a citizen activist.
In 2014, he started a charity called Podrži život (which means Support Life). This foundation helps children who are sick and need special medical care. He was also the leader of a political group called the Movement of Free Citizens from 2019 to 2020.
Early Life and Education
Sergej Trifunović was born in Mostar, which was part of SFR Yugoslavia at the time. His father, Tomislav, was an actor, and his mother, Slobodanka, was a lawyer. Sergej has a younger brother named Branislav, who is also an actor.
Because his father was an actor, the family moved around a lot. Sergej lived in different cities like Mostar, Užice, Kruševac, and Belgrade when he was young. In 1990, he started studying at the Belgrade Faculty of Drama Arts. Many of his classmates also became famous actors.
Political Activities

Sergej Trifunović has taken part in protests against governments he believed were unfair. For example, he protested against the governments led by Slobodan Milošević and Aleksandar Vučić. During the 2017 presidential election, he supported a candidate named Saša Janković.
A report by the European Economic and Social Committee and Civic Initiatives mentioned that Sergej and his charity faced false accusations. Some pro-government media and politicians spread untrue stories about them starting in 2018.
On January 26, 2019, Sergej Trifunović became the second leader of the Movement of Free Citizens. After many protests about political issues, he wrote a letter to David McAllister. He asked for help in starting talks between different political groups. These talks aimed to make elections and media fairer.
The first round of these talks happened two months later. However, by December 2019, it was announced that conditions for fair elections were still not met. In January 2020, his political group first decided not to take part in the parliamentary elections. Later, they changed their minds and participated, but they did not win enough votes to enter the National Assembly.
Sergej Trifunović has sometimes faced criticism for his actions. For example, in July 2020, during a protest, he was attacked by some people in the crowd. He claimed that secret agents were involved in the attack.
Acting Career
Sergej Trifunović has acted in many films and TV shows. He is known for playing different kinds of characters.
