He won 12 battles in a row at New York's Monday Night Fight Klub. He then beat Jin The MC to become MTV's all-time Fight Klub Champion. Jones released his own music, starting with King Me in 2006. He followed this with Serius Bizness in 2008 and Why So Serius? in 2009.

In 2006, Serius Jones signed a music deal. It was with rapper Ludacris's record label, Disturbing tha Peace. After about 18 months, Serius and the label went their separate ways. Serius said that things were good at first. But over time, he felt people got tired of him. He wanted to keep pushing forward. He did not want to just settle like others. He said he wished them well. Between 2006 and 2010, Jones worked on many projects. He made a short film about his life. It was called Life is Serius. Winfield Ezell, Jr. directed this film. Jones also released many songs and music videos. He created short films and comedy sketches. He even had an animated series called "Day In The Life". Jones went on a tour across Europe. He filmed a documentary about this trip. It was called "The Euro Tour". He also recorded an album with the same name. Two music videos for the album were filmed in Rome.

In 2011, Serius Jones released Serius Business 2. This album came out on Thanksgiving. It featured other artists like 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, T-Pain, Bobby V, Sam Scarfo, and Jay Rock. After returning to battle rap, Jones released a mixtape. It was called Living Legend. This came out on February 18, 2014. He then released his album Legendary in April of the same year.
