Saleem Bligen, known as Serius Jones, is a rapper from New Jersey, USA. He is famous for his freestyle rap battles. Serius Jones became a champion on MTV's Fight Klub, winning 12 battles in a row. He even beat the former champion, Jin The MC.

Serius Jones has released several music projects. These include King Me in 2006, Serius Bizness in 2008, and Why So Serius? in 2009.

Serius Jones picked his stage name, "Serius," from a book about ancient Egypt. The star Sirius was very important to the Egyptians. It lined up with the Pyramid of Giza, which made it a special name.

Becoming a Battle Rap Star

Serius Jones is well-known for his exciting rap battles. Some of his famous battles include Jones versus Jin and Jones versus Big Ace. Both of these battles were shown on MTV2's Fight Klub.

Another popular battle was Jones versus Murda Mook. This battle appeared on a SMACK DVD. It also got over a million views online on sites like YouTube and World Star Hip Hop.

Working with Disturbing Tha Peace Records

In 2006, Serius Jones signed a music deal with the famous rapper Ludacris. Ludacris's record label is called Disturbing tha Peace. However, after about 18 months, Serius Jones and the label decided to go their separate ways.

Life is Serius Film and More Projects

Between 2006 and 2010, Serius Jones created a short film about his life. It was called Life is Serius. Independent filmmaker Winfield Ezell, Jr. directed this movie.

During this time, Jones also made nearly 50 songs and 100 music videos. He created short films, funny comedy sketches, and even an animated series called "Day In The Life." Serius Jones also went on a tour across Europe. He filmed a documentary about his trip called "The Euro Tour." He also recorded an album with the same name, filming two music videos in Rome.

New Music and Albums (2011-Present)

Serius Jones released his album Serius Business 2 in 2011. This album featured other popular artists like 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, T-Pain, Bobby V, Sam Scarfo, and Jay Rock.

After returning to battle rap, Serius Jones released his mixtape Living Legend in 2014. He then followed up with his album Legendary in April of the same year.
