The slopes at Sewell Cutting are home to many beautiful flowers. You can find common spotted orchids and bright yellow cowslips. The side of the slope that faces the sun has plants with deep roots. You can get to Sewell Cutting from French's Avenue. There's also a footpath that starts at the Cutting. This path leads you to another interesting place called Totternhoe Chalk Quarry. This quarry is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, which means it's also a very important place for nature.
