Shadnagar is a town located in the Ranga Reddy district of Telangana, India. It is also an important area for choosing local government representatives.
Shadnagar used to be part of the Mahabubnagar district. However, due to changes in how districts are organized in Telangana, it became part of the Ranga Reddy district.
This town is home to a special place called the National Remote Sensing Centre. This center is part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), which is India's space agency.
In 2002, Bill Gates visited a hospital in Shadnagar. He helped give polio vaccines to people living there.
History of Shadnagar
Shadnagar was established a long time ago, between 1869 and 1911. It was founded during the rule of the sixth Nizam, who was a powerful ruler named Mir Mahboob Ali Khan. A Nizam was like a prince or governor in parts of India.
Shadnagar is also known as a "sister city" to Farooq Nagar. This means they have a special connection, often sharing similar history or goals.
