Shannon was a talented player who represented Australia internationally and played for Queensland in the famous State of Origin series. Playing Career Highlights

Shannon Hegarty started his rugby league journey in Brisbane, Queensland. He joined the Sydney Roosters and played as a centre. In the 2000 NRL Grand Final, his team, the Roosters, played against the Brisbane Broncos. Unfortunately, they lost that game.

Winning the NRL Premiership

Two years later, in the 2002 NRL grand final, Hegarty helped the Roosters win the championship. He scored the first try for his team in their victory over the Warriors.
