Shantha Mayadunne (Sinhala: ශාන්තා මායාදුන්නේ) was a well-known chef and TV personality from Sri Lanka. She was born on April 4, 1951, and sadly passed away on April 21, 2019, at the age of 68. She was famous for her cooking skills and for teaching others through her TV shows and classes.
Her Amazing Career
Shantha Mayadunne had over 30 years of experience in cooking. She became one of the most popular chefs on Sri Lankan television. She traveled to many countries to learn advanced cooking techniques. These countries included Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Thailand, and India.
As more people learned about her, she started teaching cooking classes. She also shared her knowledge through TV programs and workshops. Shantha Mayadunne also wrote two cookbooks. Her first book came out in 2001, and her second one was published in 2005.
