About Sharad Joshi
Sharad Joshi was born on May 21, 1931, in Ujjain, a city in India. His parents were Shriniwas and Santi Joshi. He was one of six children in his family, with one brother and four sisters.
When he was older, Sharad Joshi met and married Irfana Siddiqi. She was also a talented writer, radio artist, and theater actress from Bhopal. They had three daughters: Bani, Richa, and Neha. Their daughter, Neha Sharad, grew up to be an actress and poet, just like her parents.

His daughter, Neha Sharad, also organized a festival in 2016 called Shradotsav. This festival celebrates her father's work and includes plays and a book fair.
