Sharone Addaryl Wright (born January 30, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player. He was known for playing as a center.
Sharone was born in Macon, Georgia. He played college basketball at Clemson University from 1991 to 1994.

Sharone Wright's Basketball Journey
Making it to the NBA
Sharone Wright was chosen as the 6th player overall in the 1994 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played four seasons in the NBA. He played for both the 76ers and the Toronto Raptors.
His best year in the NBA was his first season with the 76ers. He played in 79 games. He scored an average of 11.4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds per game. Because of his great performance, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
Sharone's NBA career ended sooner than expected. This happened after he was in a car accident. He had several injuries, including broken bones. In his NBA career, he played 203 games. He averaged 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
Playing Around the World
After his time in the NBA, Sharone Wright continued to play basketball professionally. He played in many different countries. These included Spain, Poland, and South Korea.
He also played in the Netherlands for a team called EiffelTowers. While playing there, he helped his team win the Dutch championship. He also won the Dutch cup. He even played in a game against the famous team Real Madrid.
From Player to Coach
After his playing career, Sharone Wright started coaching. He coached for HOOP-CAMPS in Europe. This allowed him to share his basketball knowledge.
As of 2025, Sharone coaches in South Carolina. He works with a private coaching service called CoachUp. His son, Nico, also plays basketball. Nico plays for Benjamin Franklin High School in Queen Creek, Arizona.
