Shay Colley (born January 6, 1996) is a talented Canadian professional basketball player. She plays as a point guard for the Tango Bourges Basket team in France. Early Life and High School Basketball
Shay Colley was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She grew up and went to St. Edmund Campion Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario.
During her time at St. Edmund Campion, Shay was a key player for her school's basketball team. She helped lead her team to win two regional championships. These wins happened in the 2010 and 2011 seasons. In 2014, she also won a gold medal at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) competition.
College Basketball Journey
Shay Colley started her college basketball career at the University of South Carolina. After one year there, she moved to Michigan State University in 2017. She joined the Michigan State Spartans team as a redshirt sophomore. This means she sat out one year due to transfer rules before playing.
Playing for Michigan State
Shay became a very important player for the Michigan State Spartans. In her junior year (2019), she was the team's best rebounder. She also scored the winning basket in a big game against Central Michigan. This win helped her team advance in the NCAA tournament.
