Shayla Davis grew up in Garfield Heights, Ohio. She went to college and earned several degrees. A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is usually the first college degree. She studied liberal arts and how to run non-profit groups at Cleveland State University.

She also earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree from John Carroll University. This degree was also in non-profit administration. Later, she earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Cleveland–Marshall College of Law. A JD degree is what you get to become a lawyer.

Her Work and Public Service

Shayla Davis has worked in many different roles. From 2008 to 2011, she helped organize programs and events at Cleveland State University. She also worked for the Cleveland Department of Public Health. This department helps keep people in the city healthy.

She also worked for the Cleveland Office of Minority Health. From 2015 to 2017, she was a law clerk. This means she helped judges and lawyers with legal tasks. She also worked as a mediator for the Cleveland Municipal Court. A mediator helps people solve disagreements.

From 2017 to 2019, she was a program coordinator for the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. This board works to improve public health in the county.
