Shelly-Ann Camille Brown (born March 15, 1980) is a former Canadian bobsledder. She competed in the sport starting in 2006.
Shelly-Ann was born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Her parents were immigrants from Jamaica. She grew up in nearby Pickering, Ontario. Before bobsledding, Shelly-Ann went to the University of Nebraska. She earned a scholarship for track and field. She studied biology and later earned a master's degree in educational psychology.

Shelly-Ann Brown was a talented bobsledder. She competed in many big events around the world.
Early Competitions and World Cup
Shelly-Ann's best result in the Bobsleigh World Cup was third place. This happened in December 2007 in Lake Placid. She competed in the two-woman event.
Her best finish at the FIBT World Championships was fifth place. This was in the two-woman event in Altenberg in 2008.
Olympic Silver Medal
Shelly-Ann Brown won a silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. She competed in the Two-woman bobsled event. Her teammate was Helen Upperton.
Another Canadian team, Kaillie Humphries and Heather Moyse, won the gold medal in the same event. This was a special moment for Canada. It was the first time at the 2010 Olympics that Canadians won two medals in one event.
Retirement from Bobsledding
Shelly-Ann Brown and her teammate Helen Upperton announced their retirement from bobsledding in September 2012. They both had successful careers in the sport.
