Shelly Errington's Journey
Shelly Errington earned her first college degree, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), in 1966. She studied at Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Later, she continued her studies at Cornell University. There, she earned her Master's (M.A.) and Ph.D. degrees. A Ph.D. is the highest degree you can get in a field of study.
A Special Award
In 1981, Shelly Errington received a very special award. It was one of the first "genius grants" from the MacArthur Foundation. This award is given to talented people. It helps them continue their important work and research.
Exploring Cultures Around the World
